One resort two village

Champagny en Vanoise – a charming authentic savoyard village with a ‘bubbly’ name which is perched on a sunny , southerly slope and which inhabited all year round.

Two resorts, two altitudes, two characters:

• >Champagny – resort and village at 1250m, groups around its baroque church (of 17th century), its urbanization in traditional architectural values​​, shops and services. This is the starting point of the gondola that allows the skiers to join the south side of the ski area of ​​La Plagne (alt. 2000m to 3000m) in 8 minutes.
• Five kilometres higher up at 1450m is the hidden treasure of le vallon de champagny le haut. A classified site of natural beauty, le vallon lies on the edges of the Vanoise national Park. This is the place for nordic skiing with unparallelled opportunities for cross-country skiing, sledding, snow shoeing,walking, and ice-climbing in the most stunning of environments.

The ski area will open from the 21st Decembre 2013 to 26th April 2014.
